Our 3rd week celebration with the Pussycat Dolls…

July, 2009

What happens when you cross the hottest girl group on the planet with the hottest new members club in London? If you were lucky enough to be invited last night (wed 23rd July) you would already know the answer to that question… if not, WE ROCKED IT

Yes the rumor is true, The Pussycat Dolls; Nicole Scherzinger, Melody, Jessica and Ashley partied at ALTO, the girls beamed with good spirit having a great time in the VIP room.  Nicole said ‘the club is soo beautiful’

Over the last week the reputation of the club is certainly moving through the celebrity circles with visits from Emma Bunton, Carlton Cole (England Footballer) amongst others….

We now are 3 weeks since the club has opened and everyone involved is incredibly excited with the future to come, I wish I could tell you what we are planning…

Until next time….

Game on!

July, 2009

Alto London officially launched on 1 July, and I wish to personally thank all of our members and patrons for your enthusiastic support!  Those familiar with club openings know that despite every effort to prepare, teething problems are virtually inevitable and we had our fair share.   Most notably, I sincerely apologize to those of you who endured excessive queue times at the door.

I’m happy to report, however, that we’ve addressed many of these issues promptly, and had the privilege of hosting our first major event, Stephen Webster’s Showcase (of his latest jewelry creations) to an amazing crowd of High Street fashion models and assorted celebrities, on the Thursday evening following.

I also want to extend our appreciation to everyone that helped us usher in an amazing weekend!  Thanks to you, our tables were rapidly booked in advance, and I trust you found our control of the door to be a welcomed improvement.  The music and atmosphere have been simply fantastic – just as we envisioned.

Perhaps stating the obvious, none of this would be possible without the hard work and dedication of our management team and staff.  I look forward to introducing them to you further in upcoming posts!

Most of all, I am simply thrilled to declare GAME ON at Alto London!

Please introduce yourself either herein or when you arrive at the club, and join us for a drink (or two:)…

Warmly,

Fraser Donaldson

It’s not how you begin, but how you finish…

June, 2009

First and foremost, today the world has suffered a great loss with the untimely passing of Michael Jackson, arguably the greatest entertainer of all time.   We extend our prayers to the entire Jackson family – and we thank you for being such a driving inspiration in the lives of so many.

But even before this tragic news; today was already painful as we were forced to further delay Alto’s much anticipated opening.  As I wrote in my previous post, we are committed to a non-negotiable standard of excellence, and while I am elated to report that we are oh so close, we simply could not resolve issues rooted in UK customs and excise in time.

On behalf of Alto London, I wish to thank all of you for your understanding and patience.  We are electing to open next Wednesday, the 1st of July, and we see it as a fitting turning point for a challenging 2009!   Rest assured, we will be worth the wait!

We will warm-up with a one-hour Canapes and Drinks reception at 10PM, and turn up the volume from 11PM onward!   Dress code is Smart & Glamorous, and you are encouraged to make booking enquires at RSVP & Bookings.

Here’s to ushering in “Act II of 2009” together!

Sincerely,

Fraser Donaldson, Managing Director

Alto London Opening delayed to June 25th

June, 2009

Dear Members and Patrons,

Alto London has made a commitment to excellence that forces us to set back our Grand Opening by one week – to the 25th of June.   You will soon see for yourself that our extraordinary design includes many hand-crafted pieces from distant parts of the world.  Unfortunately, some of these have been late in arrival, and we felt it prudent to adjust our timeframe accordingly.

Simply put, we have not come this far to provide you with an opening below the standard we have set,  and we trust that you’ll understand when you experience this for yourself!

While it pains me to announce a delay, I want to personally assure you that we will be 100% ready by the 25th.  On behalf of our staff and shareholders, I thank you for your understanding, and eagerly look forward to our family without compromise.

Respectfully,

Fraser Donaldson, Managing Director
